Providers Resourcing Online Support

PROS explores the relationship between sex, money, and power for professionals in the adult industry.

In other industries there are water coolers and company retreats, but much of the work we do is isolated. I believe it’s important to have avenues to be recognized in community; to make meaning and share the stories of our lives with one another.

PROS is for…

Folks seeking motivation and accountability in a circle of peers
Folks looking to download work experiences with folks who can relate
Folks seeking gentle, informed feedback about content and marketing
Folks seeking to be celebrated for
professional accomplishment

Why did I start PROS? How can it help?

Folks working around the globe in the associated adult entertainment industries have much to offer one another; knowledge is power.

I created this group after years of supporting folks in the various adult entertainment industries as a psychotherapist and small business coach. Over and over again I heard that folks felt they were missing a sense of community that comes from knowing their peers in a non-commercial, non-competitive format. Cross-community dialogue can lessen the sense of working in a vacuum, and increase understanding of our positionality within our industries.

It’s also just plain nice to make connections with people who get it!

What is discussed in the group?

Frequent topics of discussion are not limited to, but often include themes of: workplace dynamics, trouble-shooting marketing snafus and brainstorming content, traversing personal and professional relationships, dating as a worker, how we relate to the work we’re doing, technology and privacy concerns, financial goals, connecting to resources, traversing boundaries, accountability for our projects, recognizing burnout, entering and exiting different aspects of the industries, appreciating the value of our labor, celebrating our successes, triumphs, and survival, and weaving of our personal narratives in community.

Each session starts with a short “grounding” exercise; a term used to mean checking in with your body, inviting ourselves into this present moment with one another. There might be a theme we touch on, then we dive into each person having an opportunity to check in about how you are, what you’re working on this week, and what kind of feedback you would like from the group.

What is the 5 point model?

The group rests on a foundation of five points that show up thematically in each session:

self love through body-based awareness, learning how to identify and connect with peer support, increasing confidence in creating supportive boundaries, contributing to sustainable growth as professionals, and connecting to the community value of our efforts.

Will my identity and information stay private?

In service of creating a clear container for participants in PROs, folks use neither legal names nor work names, to have the opportunity for gaining peer support among other sworkers, without concerns of workplace politics or competition. Any digital information regarding the nature of your work is stored in an encrypted database separate from any personally identifying information such as your email address, work name, or legal name.

When and where does the group meet?

We meet weekly in the afternoons on Tuesdays (PST) over six weeks in closed, anonymous, virtual groups.

Each session lasts for 80 minutes.

How much does the group cost?

The group costs $420-$780, sliding scale, with 2-3 payment installment plans available. I have limited scholarships available; if the group sounds like a fit for you but you’ll face financial hardship accessing it, please reach out to me via the contact form below for the most up to date information on available scholarships.

The group offers a supportive container in which to grow in community. It is not a replacement for therapy and not a good fit for folks in crisis.

If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency mental health services. If you need individual therapy, please reach out to Pineapple Support, a global therapy for sworker charity that offers 1-1 sessions.
